US must be held accountable for Israeli regime's crimes
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman says that due to strong support of the US administration for the Israeli regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip, Washington must be held accountable for the Israeli regime's crimes in Palestine.

Speaking in his weekly press conference on Monday, Nasser Kan'ani strongly criticized the approach of the false claimants of human rights regarding the Israeli regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Saying that the Palestinians are currently the most oppressed nation in the world, Kan'ani cited that unfortunately, the history of more than 70 years of Zionists' occupation is being repeated in the Gaza Strip these days.
"Today, we see the hypocrisy of the false claimants of human rights regarding Gaza more clearly than ever," he added.
Referring to the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran in support of Palestine, the senior Iranian diplomat stressed that as a responsible and committed country, Iran pursues the Palestinians' rights.
Considering ending the merciless killing of Palestinians and lifting the blockade of Gaza for sending medical aid as the priority Kan'ani went on to say that the efforts of Iran's diplomatic apparatus continue seriously.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman added that the American government must be held accountable for the crimes of the Zionist regime. "The US must be held accountable for the crimes of the Zionist regime, this is the government that has supported the (Israeli) regime with all its might against the Palestinian nation," he emphasized.
Any party that supports the Israeli regime in the current crimes has the same level of international responsibility, he continued.
On Belt and Road Initiative
Touching upon Iran's role in the Belt and Road Initiative, Kan'ani said that Iran welcomes the initiative and has made its efforts regarding the issue.
These initiatives will serve regional and global common interests and can provide the common interests of all member countries, he said, adding that Iran has held favorable consultations with China in this regard.
On Al-Aqsa Storm operation and anti-Iran allegations
Elsewhere in his remarks, the senior Iranian diplomat categorically rejected its involvement in Hamas' Al-Aqsa Storm operation.
Allegations like this which were made by the US officials are politically motivated aiming at manipulating public opinion from the crimes of the Zionist regime in Palestine, he underlined.
