Iran to monitor implications of Netanyahu's Washington trip, says FM spokesman
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman says the implications of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trip to Washington on the regional developments will be monitored.
IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has said that Iran will closely monitor the effects of Benjamin Netanyahu's trip to Washington on regional developments.
Netanyahu's trip had been planned by the two sides, and Iran will focus on the issues of its concern, Baghaei said during a weekly press conference on Monday.
"We will carefully monitor these implications on developments in the region and Palestine," he added.
Baghaei also highlighted the historical, cultural, and religious commonalities between Iran and Afghanistan, noting that the two sides had discussed immigration, water rights, and security. He emphasized that Iran has paved the ground for repatriating illegal immigrants to their country.
"The international community's commitment in this regard is well-defined, and Iran wants these bodies to act within this framework," he reiterated.
