President Ebrahim Raeisi made the remarks in the city of Damaghan, in Semnan Province on the second day of his visit to the northern province on Friday.
He called the reprisal attack on Israeli regime in the occupied lands dubbed the True Promise Operation as a unifying factor that was supported by all political currents inside the country.
The president said that, "All political groups and currents believe that the attack on Israel was a necessity, unifying factor and great honor for the country."
Raeisi noted that the enemies tried to divide the country over the past years by imposing sanctions and putting different pressures on the nation, but the country came out victorious and defeated all the foreign plots.
He said that the country's economy is making progress despite all the foreign pressures which could be seen in the boost in the production section.
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched the operation late last Saturday in response to a deadly attack by the regime against the Islamic Republic’s diplomatic premises in the Syrian capital on April 1.
The Israeli attack had resulted in the martyrdom of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, his deputy, General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, and five of their accompanying officers.
