Iran, Azerbaijan presidents meet before dam inauguration
The Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan met and held talks on Sunday morning, ahead of the Qiz-Qalasi Dam inauguration ceremony.

The two Iranian and Azerbaijani presidents also visited different parts of the Qiz-Qalasi Dam and were informed about the details of the construction and the benefits of its operation.
ranian President Ebrahim Raeisi arrived at Tabriz International Airport on Sunday morning to pay a one-day visit to the East Azarbaijan Province and inaugurate the Qiz-Qalasi Dam.
The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is also set to attend the dam opening ceremony.
Located 220km northeast of Tabriz, the Qiz Qalasi Dam has been constructed on the Aras River on the joint borders between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
