Some explosions were heard in different parts of Gorgan city in northern Iran on Monday.
The Police Chief of Golestan Province said that the crash of unidentified objects has been reported in several spots in Gorgan.
He added that details are currently being investigated.
Meanwhile, an informed source told Fars News Agency that the incident occurred during the missile testing process of the Ministry of Defense, and the released news about the crash or downing of the drone is not true.
This informed source added that in the process of testing the missile, the warhead deviates and hits a place other than the designated place.
The warhead of the missile had the capability to be divided into several pieces to hit different targets, which caused the wrong perception that 8 explosions had occurred.
