Russia's Shoigu arrives in Tehran to meet Iranian official
Russia's defence minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.

Heading a high-ranking military delegation, Shoigu is scheduled to meet top Iranian officials.
Last month, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Iran and Russia are independent countries whose military cooperation is not subject to the dictates of the United States and its allies.
Russia's military cooperation with Iran will not succumb to geopolitical pressure, he added.
