MEHR: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani on Wednesday offered condolences to the Iraqi government and nation over the recent wedding fire tragedy that led to the killing and injury of hundreds of people.
The senior Iranian diplomat also said that the country's health sectors are ready to assist the victims who were injured during the incident.
A fire that raced through a hall hosting a wedding in northern Iraq on Tuesday night, killed and injured at least 450 people.
The fire ripped through a large events hall in the north-eastern region after fireworks were lit during the celebration, local civil defense said, according to state media.
Preliminary information indicated that the building was made of highly flammable construction materials, contributing to its rapid collapse.
