Referring to his meeting with the representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on special assignments Khalaf Khalafov on Wednesday, the top Iranian diplomat wrote on X social media platform that security and peace should replace tension and conflict in the Caucasus region.
Emphasizing the need to balance various aspects of bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran, the Iranian diplomat stated that Baku and Tehran agree on the active development of bilateral relations.
Speaking in his latest press conference last week, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani said that Iran has various number of issues on its agenda regarding its ties with Baku, including the reopening of the Azeri embassy in Tehran.
