Iran-Azerbaijan friendship important factor for region
President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev described friendship and cooperation between Baku and Tehran as an important factor for the region.

"The Republic of Azerbaijan continues its activities in the field of creating transport corridors in the form of bilateral and multilateral cooperation," Aliyev said in a meeting with Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash.
"Azerbaijan is the initiator of the 3+3 format, and from Baku's point of view, holding a meeting in this structure is a positive step," he added.
Referring to the importance of the ceremony of laying the foundation for a motorway bridge and border-crossing infrastructure between Azerbaijan and Iran near the Aghbend settlement, he added, "These actions will help to further strengthen our friendly relations."
He also added that this project is very important for the region and will serve stability and cooperation in the entire region.
Friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran is an important factor for the region, Aliyev also emphasized.
The Iranian minister also conveyed the greetings of President Raeisi to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Saying that countries and people of the region have deep historical and cultural ties with each other, he added, "Peace in the south Caucasus will create great prospects for the region."
