Iran, Egypt discuss sending humanitarian aid to Gaza

MEHR: The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) says Iran is ready to send humanitarian aid and relief cargo to Egypt to help the people of Gaza.

During a telephone conversation with the CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent Rami Al-Nazer on Sunday, Pirhossein Kolivand hailed Egypt's stances in condemning the Zionist regime's attacks.

Referring to the necessity of continuing the process of supporting the oppressed people of Gaza, Kolivand underlined that IRCS is ready to send humanitarian aid to Gaza through Egypt.

Gaza is in a difficult situation today and the people of the besieged enclave are being attacked brutally, he said, adding that such atrocities are not matching with any law.

In addition, the Zionist regime attacks aid workers and doctors in Gaza and violates the principles of international humanitarian law, he further noted.

Pointing to the fuel limitations in Gaza’s hospitals, Kolivand noted that IRCS is ready to send the necessary fuel to Gaza through Egypt so that energy problems in Gaza's hospitals can be solved and the wounded can be helped.

Rami Al-Nazer, for his part, slammed the Zionist regime’s atrocities in Gaza, thanking the Iranian Red Crescent Society for the round-the-clock efforts to help injured people in Gaza.
