Iran hails growing exchanges with Turkmenistan
Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash has expressed satisfaction with the rising level of trade and transit exchanges between Iran and Turkmenistan.

The minister made the remarks addressing the opening ceremony of a specialized exhibition of the achievements of the Iranian companies called “Iran Project” in Ashgabat.
He noted that energy relations between Iran and Turkmenistan are also on an upward trajectory.
Referring to last year’s $500 million level of trade between Iran and Turkmenistan, Bazrpash said that the sum shows a significant increase compared to figures reported a year earlier.
Also, in a message to the exhibition, Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow urged the need for more interactions and carrying out joint projects with Iran.
He referred to an Iran-Turkmenistan Joint Economic Commission due to be held in Ashgabat on Saturday and said that economic relations between the two countries will play a key role in their future cooperation.
As many as 300 Iranian companies and businesses are said to have attended the Iran Project Exhibition where they have put their latest achievements on display.
