MEHR: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm turned the Palestinian issues into the world’s top issue once again.
Amir-Abdollahian met and held talks with a delegation from the Board of Trustees of the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Gathering, headed by Sheikh Ghazi Hanina in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Monday.
Referring to the constructive role of the gathering of Lebanese Muslim scholars over the past four decades to counter the machinations of the enemies of the Islamic Ummah, the top Iranian diplomat said that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm has once again turned the Palestinian issue into the first issue of the world.
Pointing to the continued crimes committed by the Zionist regime and the clear and comprehensive support of the US regime for the atrocities, Amir-Abdollahian called for taking practical steps to pressure the Zionists to stop the crimes in the Gaza enclave.
Sheikh Ghazi Hanina and his entourage, for their part, outlined the goals and activities of this institution over the past years in Lebanon and the region in the field of Islamic unity and support for the Resistance, especially support for the Palestinian cause.
The gathering of Lebanese Muslim scholars appreciated the special role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the unity of the Islamic world, and the legitimate right of Palestinians against occupation, aggression, and killing, pointing out that the Palestinian issue is the most important issue of the Islamic world.
