Iran, Russia diplomats discuss trade, economic cooperation
Iran’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation held talks with Russia’s deputy foreign minister in Moscow on Tuesday regarding the cooperation of the two countries in trade and economic organizations.

Iran’s Envoy to Moscow Kazem Jalali and Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Pankin explored avenues for the cooperation of the two countries in trade and economic organizations including BRICS, the Shanghai Economic Cooperation (SEC), and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Strengthening economic multilateralism with a focus on neighboring states within the framework of the economic organizations is the priority of the foreign policy of the administration of Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, Jalali emphasized.
Russia’s deputy foreign minister, for his part, hailed the active participation of Iran in economic organizations such as BRICS and SCO for helping to enhance the dynamism of the organizations.
Pankin also welcomed the planned signing of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Iran and EAEU member states in the near future.
