Iranian, Saudi deputy foreign ministers meet in Beijing
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs met and held talks with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister on the sideline of the first meeting of the China-Saudi Arabia-Iran trilateral joint committee on Friday in Beijing.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani met and held talks with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji on the sidelines of the first meeting of the China-Saudi Arabia-Iran trilateral joint committee on Friday in Beijing.
In this meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and the progress of cooperation during the past 9 months, welcoming the continuation of consultations at high levels and on both sides' issues of interest.
They also emphasized the need to increase the bilateral interactions between the two countries.
The parties further stressed stopping the attacks of the Zionist regime on Gaza immediately and the need to provide immediate aid to the oppressed Palestinian people.
Al Khuraiji and Bagheri thanked China for hosting the meeting, saying Saudi Arabia and Iran welcome and support China's greater role in the development of the Middle East.
During the trilateral meeting, Saudi Arabia and Iran expressed their commitment to the full implementation of the Beijing agreement. China stressed that it will continue to play a constructive role and support Saudi Arabia and Iran in continuing to take steps to strengthen relations. The three sides discussed trilateral cooperation in various fields.
