Iran, China to continue coop. on int’l, regional diplomacy
MEHR: Iran’s Ambassador to China Mohsen Bakhtiar has said that Tehran and Beijing will continue their close and successful coordination on international and regional diplomacy.
Bakhtiar made the remarks on his page on social media platforms on Sunday to congratulate the New Year 2024 which is coincident with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
As Bakhtiar wrote, the resumption of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia through China’s mediation and Tehran's accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the BRICS emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa are the examples of such successful diplomacy.
Iran and China signed a 25-year document on comprehensive cooperation in March 2021; which Iranian officials have referred to as an important development in the Middle East region to further deepen bilateral relations in different economic areas.
