Iraq irresponsibly reacts to IRGC anti-terrorist operation
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemned the IRGC operation against the terrorists' headquarters in Erbil without noting the presence of Mossad-affiliated terrorist elements in the Kurdistan region.
MEHR:The Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemned the IRGC operation against the terrorists' headquarters in Erbil without noting the presence of Mossad-affiliated terrorist elements in the Kurdistan region.
In reaction to the anti-terrorist operation carried out by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on a Mossad espionage center in Erbil, the Iraqi foreign ministry issued a statement on Tuesday morning.
Without noting the presence of terrorists and Mossad-affiliated elements in the Kurdistan region, the Iraqi foreign ministry condemned the IRGC operation and said that it would take legal measures against it.
This is while the Islamic Republic of Iran has warned the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan region authorities about the activities of terrorist groups and elements affiliated with the Western and Zionist spy services in their territory and has repeatedly emphasized that it cannot remain silent in the face of such activities near its borders.
Tehran has constantly urged the Iraqi authorities to prevent the activities of dangerous terrorist elements from Iraqi soil against the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but it seems that the lack of attention to these warnings has left Iran no option but to conduct direct operations against the terrorists' bases.
The IRGC said in a statement that a missile strike had been launched at a main espionage center of the Israeli regime’s Mossad spy agency in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
It said the strike was a sign of the IRGC’s full intelligence superiority over the Zionist regime's bases and activities in the region.
The IRGC added that its missile strike on the Iraqi Kurdistan Region has totally destroyed the Mossad center there.
It noted that the Mossad center was used "to develop espionage operations and plan acts of terrorism" across the region, especially in Iran.
The missile strike against the Mossad center, the statement said, was in retaliation for the recent assassinations of the Resistance Front’s commanders, especially those of the IRGC, by the Zionist regime.
