MEHR: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani has strongly slammed the United States and the United Kingdom's strikes against Yemen.
Considering the attacks as repeated violations of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen and flagrant violations of international law by the US and the UK, Kan'ani stressed that the continuation of such arbitrary actions is a threat to international peace and security.
The military adventures of the United States and the United Kingdom in attacking the countries of the region are the continuation of the policy and the wrong approach of these two countries in using militarism to advance their illegitimate goals in the region, he added.
The senior Iranian diplomats further cited that these attacks are contrary to the claims of Washington and London on not seeking the spread of war and conflict in the region.
The US and The UK continue to support the war crimes of the Zionist regime, with their military actions in the region, he said, adding that they are responsible for the genocide of the Palestinians.
Kan'ani also urged the international community to hold the United States and the United Kingdom accountable.
