Mohammad Ali Eskandari, Iran's Ambassador to Uzbekistan met and held talks with the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov to discuss reducing the existing problems in transiting goods between Iran and Uzbekistan.
In this meeting, Eskandari explained the plans and actions of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development to facilitate the transfer of goods and transit through Iran's economic, qualitative, and safe corridor, and emphasized the readiness of the parties to reduce transit problems.
The Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan also considered it important for Uzbekistan to use the transport corridor through Iran to access regional and extra-regional markets.
He also emphasized the continuation of the communication between the officials to solve the problems and promote trade between Uzbekistan and Iran.
