Iran's Minister of Health, Bahram Einullahi held a meeting with "Hani Musa Badr al-Aqabi", Deputy Minister of Health of Iraq on Thursday.
During the meeting, Einullahi referred to the close relationship between Iran and Iraq and said that Iran is ready to share its health experiences, including universal health coverage, with the Iraqi Ministry of Health.
The Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of Iran described the establishment of the international branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in the holy city of Karbala under the name "Sabatin University" as the realization of a historical program in Iraq and expressed hope that this action will be a model for other countries.
Einollahi added that the field of medicine and medical equipment is one of the other fields of cooperation between Iran and Iraq, and Iran is ready for the joint production of medicine and medical equipment, as well as the export of joint pharmaceutical products to other countries.
The Deputy Minister of Health of Iraq also pointed out that the construction of health houses in Iraq has started following the example of Iran, and said, "Public health and family health are the main concerns of the Ministry of Health of Iraq, and his country wants to learn from Iran's experiences in the field of health and treatment. "
Badr al-Aqabi, while voicing the readiness for joint production of medicine and medical equipment with the Islamic Republic of Iran, said that today many Iraqi doctors and people know Iranian medicines well and use them for treatment.
