US sending of humanitarian aid to Gaza ridiculous, symbolic

MEHR: Referring to vetoing UNSC resolution aimed at stopping the war by Washington, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman termed the US government's actions in sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as ridiculous and symbolic.
Addressing his weekly presser on Monday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman spoke about of continued atrocities of the occupying regime of Israel against the Palestinians.
Five months have passed since the start of the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime against the Gaza Strip, Kan'ani said, adding, "During this time, unfortunately, we are witnessing a painful inaction of the international community, especially the United Nations and the Security Council, whose main task is to ensure international peace and security."
"In the shadow of the support of the American government for the Zionist regime, we witnessed that the world and international assemblies, the United Nations and the Security Council failed to fulfill their human, legal, and international duty in stopping the war and maintaining peace in the world," he said.
Saying that the US was a main factor in the continuation of the war, the Iranian diplomat criticized that the American government expressed its support both in words and action.
The United States continuously exports its weapons to the Israeli regime, and on the other hand, sends humanitarian aid to Palestinians to change its bellicose image in the eyes of the public opinion of the world, he said.
