President Ebrahim Raeisi told his Pakistani counterpart that domination-seeking countries try to divide Tehran and Islamabad.

During the phone conversation, Zardari congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran's President, the government and the people of Iran on Eid al-Fitr.
President Zardari assured President Raeisi that Pakistan will continue to work closely with Iran in all areas of mutual interest and strengthen the ties further.
He also emphasized the need to increase the exchange of information to overcome the security challenges shared by the two countries.
The Pakistan president went on to invite President Raisi to visit Pakistan.
Zardari also expressed his condolences to and sincere sympathy with the Iranian government and the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the attack of the Israeli regime on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
Expressing his concern about the humanitarian crisis and the genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli occupying forces, he called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The Iranian president, for his part, said that Iran and Pakistan have a lot of potential and capablities to expand interactions, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran hopes those potentials will be employed in the process of expanding ties.
Raeisi also hailed the faith and bravery of the youth of the Islamic Ummah in rejecting various seditions, including ISIL sedition, emphasizing that the development of relations between the two countries is not welcome by the domination-seeking powers
He added that those powers are seditiously seeking division between the two Islamic nations. He called for strengthing cooperation on the joint fight against terrorism, preventing the realizing of the enemies' wishes and promoting friendship between Tehran and Islamabad.
