President Raeisi:
Countries of region can rely on Iran's Armed Forces
Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi says that the regional countries can rely on the powerful Iranian Armed Forces.
MEHR: Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi says that the regional countries can rely on the powerful Iranian Armed Forces.
President Raeisi made the comments while speaking at the ceremony marking the National Army Day in Tehran on Wednesday morning.
Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian Armed Forces are now self-sufficient in producing all kinds of homegrown drones and missiles, he said.
He went on to say that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) provides strong support for Iran's authority, and the countries of the region can rely on Iran's armed forces.
The Iranian president also hailed the unison of the country's armed forces in standing by the people's side in difficult times.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Raeisi referred to Iran's retaliatory military attack on Israel, saying that the anti-Zionist operation was a precise action carried out to punish the Zionists.
Saying that the attack on Israel was a limited action, the president stressed that if Tehran wanted to carry out an extensive operation on Israel, nothing would remain of this regime.
If the Zionists take any action against our interests, Iran's response will be harsher, he emphasized, adding, "Today, there is no more talk of a military option against the Iranian nation, and this is important because of the deterrence and authority of our armed forces."
He further stressed that Iranian military forces are security-creators and peace-makers who bring authority to the region and are completely reliable.
Raeisi told the countries of the region that instead of having ties with the Zionist regime, they should rely on their assets and the Muslim forces. "There is no need for foreign forces in the region."
The Israeli regime attacked Iran's consulate in the Syrian capital of Damascus on April 1. The Israeli aggression led to the destruction of the entire building and the martyrdom and injury of the entire people inside it.
Seven of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) military advisors were martyred following the Israeli attack on Iran's consulate in Damascus, IRGC said in a statement.
In response to the Israeli aggression, Iran attacked the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories with a barrage of drones and missiles early on Sunday.
Following the attack, Iran announced that it does not seek to create tension in the region and had carried out the anti-Zionist operation to punish the Zionist regime. However, the Iranian political and military officials have strongly warned that the country would give a severe response in case of any fresh Israeli aggression.
