Minister says Iran automakers to increase production by 20%

Regarding the plans of the Industry, Mining, and Trade Ministry for Iran's Auto Industry, the Minister Abbas Aliabadi told national TV on Saturday that Iran has a plan to increase its production of cars this year.
The minister pointed out that the Iranian automakers produce 5,000 vehicles per day, adding that the country is trying to increase this figure by about 20%, which is considered a very big leap.
He pointed to an Iranian delegation's visit to African countries recently and said that Africa is great opportunity for Iranian merchants and manufacturers to get to its untapped markets.
