MEHR: Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-abdollahian says Iran and Egypt are in the process of drawing a road map for the return of normal relations between Tehran and Cairo.
Netanyahu is trying to continue the war in Gaza due to the fear of a new crisis in the occupied territories, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-abdollahian said while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday.
If the US and the West fulfill their promise and stick to the ceasefire at this stable stage, everything is ready for a ceasefire in Gaza, the Iranian diplomat said.
Asked about Iran's recent operation against Occupied Lands, he said, "We have a strong relationship with our neighbors, and two days before the start of the operation, we informed the countries where the American base was located, that it is the punishment of the Zionist regime for its crimes in the region."
"We hope that the response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the arrogance of the Zionist regime will lead to a reduction in crimes in the region," he noted.
Referring to the good consultations with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, he added, "We are in the process of compiling a road map for the return of normal relations between Iran and Egypt."
