Halabja governor asks Iran take part in Kurdistan development
Halabja governor Azad Tofiq has called on Iran to participate in the process of developing the Iraqi Kurdistan region.

Tofiq made the remarks in a meeting with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Mahmoudian in Sulaymaniyah on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the issue of enhancing cooperation in various sectors, especially the facilitation of trade and cross-border traffic.
Referring to the assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people of the Kurdistan region in hard times, the Governor of Halabja stressed that the Iraqi Kurdistan region seeks Iran's participation in the path of its development.
Mahmoudian, for his part, said that what Iran and its people have done to help Halabja and the Kurdistan region was a human and Islamic duty and will always be a source of pride for Iranians.
In a separate meeting, Mahmoudian met and held talks with the chairman and the members of the Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
