MEHR: Iran's representative to the United Nations has confirmed the indirect talks held between Tehran and Washington in Oman.
"These negotiations are an ongoing process," Iran's representative to the United Nations told reporters.
The negotiations were not the first and will not be the last, the Iranian official added.
He provided no further details and the content of the talks remains unclear.
The diplomat commented on the information published on May 18 by the American portal Axios.
Indirect negotiations mean that Iranian and American diplomats communicate through intermediaries - in this case, through representatives of Oman.
