UN chief pays tribute to late Iranian president, FM
The UN Secretary-General visited the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in New York to pay tribute to the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Antonio Guterres and Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina J. Mohammed visited the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in New York on Saturday.
During the visit, Guterres wrote and signed a message in his own handwriting in a memorial book that had been opened to honor the Iranian martyrs.
President Raeisi was returning from a ceremony to inaugurate a dam on Iran’s border with Azerbaijan on Sunday when his helicopter crashed in Varzaqan, northwestern Iran, on Sunday.
Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and a number of senior provincial officials were also on board the helicopter that crashed, killing all onboard.
